Quality Assurance

GP Biotec produces digestate that is certified under the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme. The Biofertiliser Certification Scheme (BCS) provides assurance to consumers, farmers, food producers and retailers that digestate produced from anaerobic digestion is safe for human, animal and plant health. Biofertiliser is the name adopted for the quality digestate that meets the PAS110 & ADQP spec.

BCS is part of Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd, a subsidiary of the Renewable Energy Association. Plants are assessed by two independent Certifying Bodies and an independent Panel oversees the BCS.

Digestate that achieves certification is no longer classed as a waste and can be spread beneficially to land without the need for an Environmental Permit or deployment.

fertiliser potential of digestate which should be considered as part of any farm management plan.

We strongly recommend that those interested in digestate speak to their FACTS qualified advisers who can recommend the optimum quantities per hectare.
